Through his work in a variety of disciplines, Alexis Bellavance addresses themes in which his whimsical ideas blend with silence, noise, the details of time and its contours. His observations are transmitted in various forms: sound art, photography, performance and installation. He is co-founder and member of the board of directors of the performance festival VIVA! Art action, and active member and project manager with the organisation Perte de Signal and founding member of the sound art ensemble BOLD.

Alexis Bellavance’s work has been presented in numerous events, festivals, galleries and artist-run centres in North America, Europe and Asia.
